Combat The Early Signs Of Ageing!

As soon as we stop growing, we begin to age. I don't know about you, but I think that's pretty unfair! As soon as we’re out of the awkward years and finding our footing in life, our bodies are already to starting to break down. Thankfully though, there are things you can do to prolong your youthful looks as much as possible. If you’re not willing to accept the signs of ageing in your late twenties and early thirties, here are a few ways to combat them!

Stick To A Good Skincare Routine
To stay looking great into your later years, it’s important to keep to a good skincare routine in the here and now. This includes hydrating products so your skin doesn’t dry out and become prone to damage. Plus a daily SPF, and an eye cream at the very least. You could buy a moisturiser or foundation with an SPF included, which will make things a bit easier and do two jobs in one. Look for products containing retinol, coenzyme q10, peptides and hydroxy acids which are all effective anti-ageing ingredients. Stick to a skincare routine religiously- you’ll thank yourself for it in years to come.

Have A Non- Surgical Procedure Done
People might tell you that you’re too young for anti ageing procedures in your twenties and thirties. But actually, for a lot of people, this is the ideal time to have them done. It’s when the early signs of ageing start to show, and these fine lines are much easier to treat than when they’re allowed to get deeper and more pronounced. Treatments such as microdermabrasion and laser skin resurfacing for example are ideal for fine lines, which are the kinds of lines you are likely to have around this age. They have little effect on deeper wrinkles. And so by the time you have very visible signs of ageing it may well be too late for these things to have much of an effect. A procedure such as botox could also be worth considering, this will be effective on both fine and deeper lines. While it won’t lift or tighten skin (for these issues you’ll more than likely need a full face lift). However, it can make a dramatic difference in many patients making them look visibly younger. Other non-surgical procedures to consider would be dental work. Teeth whitening and veneers to improve your smile is a surefire way to make you look younger.

Eat Well
A balanced diet is, of course, essential for good health. But did you know that eating the right foods can dramatically reduce the effects of aging on the skin? Look for foods containing high levels of B vitamins as well as vitamin E and C. Other essential nutrients include beta- carotene (found in orange coloured foods such as carrots and sweet potatoes). Omega 3, collagen, selenium, zinc and amino acids are all useful in preventing aging and protecting skin health. Some of the top anti-wrinkle foods include avocados, blueberries, eggs, salmon and green tea. Eating a healthy, varied diet and adding a daily vitamin tablet will ensure you get all of the various components you need for healthy skin.
