The Perfect After Wedding Party

Your wedding going off without a hitch is your dream outcome for your whole wedding day, right? Well, if this is the case than you need to give precedence to not only the wedding ceremony, you need to give precedence to the after party and reception too. For advice on how to throw the perfect after wedding celebration, make sure to read on.

Pick a venue that you know you can fill with guests

Depending on how many people you and your other half want to be invited to your wedding reception or in fact know, just make sure you choose a venue that will be filled by the amount of guests you invite. By choosing a venue that is too big and leaves large open spaces where no guests are seated, standing or dancing, you will struggle to generate the lively atmosphere that is needed to create the perfect wedding reception environment.

And on the other hand, make sure you pick a venue that can comfortably accommodate all the guests you invite, even if there is a large number of them. Also, make sure you choose a venue that will, at all times, generate a romantic atmosphere through the way it is laid out.

Ensure you and your other half stay hospitable throughout

Even though the wedding, the reception and the whole day are for you and your other half, you still have a duty to make the day as good as you can for your guests. And to do this, you should not be selfish in the way you enjoy your reception evening — you should share the enjoyment with all guests and remain hospitable with them all throughout. This means you should skirt from table to table, from your family to friends to your other half’s family and friends doing things like thanking them for coming, asking them how they are enjoying the night and generally keeping them informed as to what the schedule of the night has in store for them.

This means you’re going to have to do a lot of walking or even running around, which thus makes the buying and subsequent wearing of evening shoes that are comfortable to wear and not just nice to look at a must. You have to be able to be light on your feet, and you need a pair of shoes that are going to allow that and keep you looking fabulous whilst you do so.

Create a schedule and stick to it

The aforementioned schedule of the evening that you keep your guests informed about needs to be stuck to at all times as the evening and party progresses, no matter how much drink you or your other half may consume. You have to do these things, simply, because some guests may have to get home early because of childcare or work commitments, and they won’t want to miss out on important events in the evening such as the first dance or the cutting of the cake. So, create a schedule, and stick to it no matter what!

If you want your wedding reception to be perfect, which surely you do then, then make sure to take heed of the advice above.
